The sole purpose of the start-up phase of a business is to figure out the right business model before growing into a full-time business. This class is an introduction of what business models are, the key components, and how to create the right one.

This class is intend for both potential entrepreneurs that just have an idea, as well as, for those who have already started a business and are looking for a systematic way to build their business. You’ll leave with a road map of how to move forward.

Howard has seen a variety of business models and industries (from raw materials and manufacturing to banking, retail and technology) having worked in both large companies, including Amazon and American Express, as well as in several smaller start-up companies including his own. He also has worked with Aster Capital, a corporate venture capital firm that specializes in clean technologies, been part of developing the peer-based accelerator, The Foundry, at the University of Utah and also worked with i2E’s Venture Advisory Services Team here in Oklahoma. Howard is currently completing a PhD in Entrepreneurship at the University of Oklahoma and is dedicated to helping develop entrepreneurs while building the start-up scene.
